I'm refining my EON server as I go, and I now have nap-it running. It's getting close to going online for testing.
This leaves me the luxury of worrying about smaller issues. I'd like to move /var into the zfs disks, as well as swap files and so on. The idea is to move all the things that do lots of writes out of the compact flash boot disk.
I've run through some searches, and I think I now know how to do this, kind of, on Opensolaris. I was starting to think about doing it on the EON system when it struck me that this is part of what may already be done for me in the process of adapting Opensolaris to be EON.
Is that guess approximately correct? Or should I keep fumble-worrying about moving things that change a lot into disk storage off compact flash?
