Hi,

I'm looking into installing EON on it's own (small) SSD drive.
I gather with EON loading most of its bits in RAM this won't bring along any benefit,
is this correct?

Is there a way to install EON to hd and run it off this hd instead of RAM?

Thanks for letting me know!

Erwin

Hi Lexje,

Correct, installing EON on a SSD would have 0 performance gains.

Installing EON to hd is not something I've done. It would require some experimentation and possible put back of bits I added to boot EON. It would involve possibly dd'ing the EON image to the hd mounted somewhere. Installing the respective boot bits and then put back, boot trial and error. Sounds simple but requires time and patience.
