G'day Andre,

I was pleased to see this today: "Status: Mediatomb available!"
Can you give any more details on the installation/setup?

My install was done with EON-0.600-130-64-cifs-min.iso but I believe Mediatomb needs a webserver; is that right?
If so, what's the best way for me to get Mediatomb running? Will I need to reinstall the non-MIN version of EON?

Thanks,
Max

At present on my EON ver 0.60.0 64-bit CIFS minimum + binary kit 130 install, executing start_mtomb.sh produces the following in mediatomb.log:

INFO: MediaTomb configuration was created in: /root/.mediatomb/config.xml

Hi Zif,

Mediatomb does not need a web server. It contains its own webserver running on a separate port so using the no-HTTPD version of EON is no problem.

Oh, excellent.
I had another go at getting it to work and succeeded. My WDTV-Live can play from Mediatomb on EON, woohoo! (I'm excited about this because for some reason the device has never been able to access my EON CIFS shares directly).

However, although it worked, I may have done something wrong because this started happening...

eon:189:/tank/temp# ps
ld.so.1: ps: fatal: /usr/lib/***@0.so.1: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32
Killed
eon:190:/tank/temp# top
ld.so.1: top: fatal: /usr/lib/***@0.so.1: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32
Killed

(a reboot got it back to normal as I hadn't run updimg.sh)

Any suggestions? Or should I just wait (which I'm happy to do) for your how-to?

Thank you very much for this Mediatomb package btw.

I had another go after a reboot and it's working without that problem now.

I'm not sure what I messed up last time. Clearly I'm no expert :-)

Sounds like you did an
export PRE_LOAD=/usr/lib/***@0.so.1

but you are running the 64 bit version of EON

to stop the error do
unset LD_PRELOAD
